Her ideas were so original, and I couldn’t put the books down! I had bought the 1st and 2nd books together, but couldn’t find the 3rd. I didn’t think I would become so attached! By the time I finished the 2nd book, I realized I didn’t have the 3rd, so I had to wait a whole agonizing week for it to come in at the library before reading. Definitely one of my favorite series :) Great review.

At the same time though, the creator can be blind to their biggest inadequecies. I like to turn my art around and look at it in a mirror. That helps me see where my perspective is off.

I agree though, birthday candle hair would be pretty cool- especially on crazy hair day.

I agree, I hope your book finds the children most in need of it. I loved that your character was nameless, as so many children can feel that way when they are displaced. It helps all of us to realize that everyone is unique and deserves love and attention, no matter what circumstances- or perhaps sometimes specifically because of the circumstances they are in.
